Fall fashion and makeup is my favourite, simple that its one of the trendiest times of the year! The fashion trends and styles are always on point. I love military inspired jackets and leather jackets, those two pieces can put an outfit all together! Anyways, fall fashion and makeup is always so fun to play around with. As bold brows and dark lips are usually all the talk! This fall makeup look is one of my favourites, as its quite fun with a dark lip, contoured checks and a bold brow!
I first started off with priming my skin, as this step is important to have a even base and to make sure your foundation lasts all day. The primer I have been using is Nip+Fab ‘Skin Corrector primer’, its great as it gives your skin a glow. I like mixing foundations to get a better colour for my skin tone, as I find most foundations, are either too yellow or too pink with the undertones. I like mixing the CoverGirl ‘Tru Blend’ foundation in ivory which is sometimes to much of a pink undertone, this foundation has a medium to full coverage and is long lasting. The foundation I like mixing it with is L’Oreal Infallible, which I find is more of a yellow undertone than the CoverGirl ‘Tru Blend’. This creates a great foundation that is fair, neutral and long lasting The concealer I love is from Hard Candy ‘Glam of Lauge’, which is great for under the eyes and to highlight the face. This concealer is long lasting, if its applied properly. One of the best ways to apply this concealer is with a damp beauty blender or cosmetic sponge. One of the best drug store pressed powders is the one and only Maybelline Dream Matte Powder, which helps set your foundation and concealer!
I wanted to keep the eyes pretty neutral. So how I achieved that was by using Maybelline Colour Tattoo in “Tough as Taupe”, which is exactly what it is called, a nice neutral taupe shade. Using a neutral taupe in the crease of the eye, just defines the eye and gives it some dimension. I wanted to create a bold brow so I first used the Marcelle eyebrow pencil in ‘light blonde’, to fill them in and give them more shape. One of my favourite brow products is the Maybelline Brow Drama in ‘soft brown’. This product gives your brows some colour, as well as keeping them in place all day. The mascara I used is by Stila, which is great for giving your lashes length.
For bronzer I went with my trusty bronzer/contour from Shiseido in ‘Bronzed 2’, this is a great bronzer for fair skin tones as it isn’t to warm so it doesn’t make you look orange. I recently like to mix the two blushes NYX “Pinched” and Rimmel “Berry”. By mixing both these blushes I got a nice berry pink colour, giving you checks a nice flush of colour since the eyes are neutral. This way it helps balance out the eyes and lips.
Lastly, my favourite for this look is the berry/purple lips. I used L’Oreal 186 Berry Persistent. This look is definitely fun for fall but by changing the colour of lips it can also be a great holiday makeup look, since the holidays are just around the corner!
