Smokey Eye Holiday Makeup Look

The holidays are almost there! Its getting to be crazy busy with people going to buy christmas gifts and people having there homes all decked out in christmas decorations. With the holidays just around the corner, that means parties! What screams a party makeup look more, than a smokey eye! This look is all about the smokey eye and winged liner.

This matte lip is actually a comparable to all the talk about Kylie Jenners lips and the lip colour.

This look is full coverage, flawless skin. I decided to mix two of my foundations to get full coverage and the perfect tone for my skin. As the CoverGirl ‘3in1’ is sometimes a little to pink with the undertones. I absolutely love this foundation as it is medium to full coverage and lasts all day. It is good for all skin types as it isn’t oily, so even if you have oily skin this foundation would still work great especially, if you set it with a pressed powder. The next foundation I mixed the CoverGirl with is, the L’Oreal ‘Infalliable’, which is also a medium to full coverage foundation and has a great lasting power, that gives a bit of a glow without looking oily throughout the day. I than used my trusty concealer that I absolutely love, its Hard Candy ‘Glam of Lauge’, which is also good at highlighting the face, while giving it a glow sheen. I used this concealer under my eyes to conceal and highlight, on my bridge of my nose, chin and forehead. To set everything in place I used the lose powder from Mineral Wear.

Now to the best part of this look, the eyes. To achieve the smokey eye, I used the Maybelline ‘Nude Pallete’, this pallete is absolutely amazing for anyone, whether you are a beginner in makeup of are even a professional. As this pallete has both warm and cool tone browns, highlight shades and even some golden shades. They’re various matte shades, satin and even shimmer, which can create endess eye looks. To highlight I used the first shade to highlight my brow bone and inner corner, I than used the third shade which is a matte neutral colour for all over the lid and crease. Than to define the crease I used the taupe matte colour (the fifth) in the crease and lower lash line. To make this eye smokey without using a black shade, I used a dark brown (the sixth shade) which is also matte. For smokey looks I tend to like matte shades better, than shimmery shades, as they’re not to out there! For the brows I actually used a mix of both the taupe and dark brown to fill in my brows, with a angle eye brow brush.

For eye liner I used Benefit ‘They’re Real Push Up Liner’ to wing out the top lash line. This eye liner is great as the tip is angled of to achieve the perfect straight line, while also being a long lasting gel liner. As for tight lining I used the Maybelline, gel eye liner. When you tight line your upper lashes it gives your lashes a thicker appearance. For lashes I wanted them to be volumous and long. So the mascara I used is by Stila, this mascara is get at achieving length and volume, while staying very black.

For the face I wanted a contoured bronzed look. The contour I used is for SHISIDUO in ‘bronzer 2′, this contour/bronzer is great to lightly give a bronzed look or can easily give a chiseled cheekbones, as its every pigmented. As for blush, I wanted a bronzed/berry look so I mixed two blushed to achieve that colour. I first used Revlon blush in ’80 Sandalwood Beige’ and Rimmel ’30 Berry’. Now for lips I wanted a matte lip while also going on the more nude side, instead on a red lip as I wanted the focus to be on the eyes and not on a red lip. I used Maybelline ‘ColourStay 24 Colour in 130 Always hot Chilli’. This lip colour is a stain so it will has for a very long time, of course since you will be eating as its the holidays it won’t last all day! This colour is also a great dupe for Kylie Jenners famous lip colour!

This look is a perfect smokey eye for the holidays!

Hope you enjoyed!!
