New Years Makeup Look

With New Years just around the corner, it’s time to get glam! We got to make sure that 2015 ends in a glam way!

This look is glam, but it’s not too in your face. So anyone can pull off this makeup look, and still feel themselves!

With any glam look, you want to make sure your skin is even, so it balances out the look from the eyes and lips! To start this look out, I mixed two foundations one that is matte and one that gives a glow. This way I got a even full coverage look that is semi matte. As I don’t tend to like full matte foundation for the winter months as its already so dry. The foundations I used are CoverGirl ‘3in1’ and Rimmel ‘Clean Finish Matte’ foundation, which gives a poreless look, and who doesn’t want to look poreless! To cover the dark circles I used Garnier ‘Dark Circle Roller’. Than to set everything in place I dusted Physician Formula ‘Mineral Correcting Powder’. For bronzer I used both NYC ‘Smooth Skin Bronzing Powder’ and the bronzer in NYX ‘Butt Naked Eyes’ pallete, to both contour and bronze up the face. As for a flush of colour on the cheeks I used the last mauvy matte blush in that platte. Than for highlight, I used the first highlight in these palette, giving a sheer glow to the top of the cheek bones and bridge of the nose. This highlight doesn’t have yellow or warm undertones, creating a glow sheen!

 

On to the eyes, I again used NYX ‘Butt Naked Eyes’ Palette. I first used a nice matte cream shade, all over the eyelid and up to the brow bone. This way adding a neutral shade, gives the other shades the base colour, and it also helps with any discoloration on the eyelids. The next shade I used is a matte taupe shade, for the eyelid. I than used a deeper brown shade for the eye crease. Of course for this look, you have to take the time to blend the shadows together, so there’s no harsh lines! This look is not complete, without a wing. To achieve the winged eyeliner are used Benefit ‘They’re  Real Push-up Liner’. This eyeliner is great to achieve a winged line, without all the struggles that other gel liner would give you. As this eyeliner has an applicator that is angled, to achieve the perfect straight line. Since this eyeliner is a gel form, it will last you all day long, and it will not smug! Nobody wants smudged eyeliner, so this one is perfect. Since the benefit eyeliner is gel it’s sometimes hard to get right in your inner eye corner, so this way I used another eyeliner. I used Elf waterproof eyeliner pen, which is great to get your inner eye corner and to also tight line, since it’s waterproof and will not smug! As for mascara I used one of my long-time favourites which is the CoverGirl ‘LashBlastFusion’, this mascara gives you all the length  and volume, now who doesn’t want that!

Finally it’s all about the lips, this lip product gives you the Kylie Jenner, famous lip colour. The lip stain I used is by Maybelline ‘Super Stay 24 Colour in 135 Always Hot Chilli’. This looks stain the last hours on end and still look fabulous!
