I must say blue is my favourite colour so why not rock a ombre blue makeup look!! This makeup look is truly fun and would be great for a party or just to rock at home! I just wanted to play around with some makeup and this is the look I created!
To start off we can’t forget to prime! I first applied Fusion Beauty Prime Results Brightening Primer, this primer is great at correcting any darkness as it is purple base, with a sheen that helps brighten up the skin and helps give your foundation a healthy glow! For foundation, I used L’Oreal Infallible 16 Hour Foundation, as this foundation is long wearing and has a build-able full coverage. Of course it wouldn’t be a makeup look if I didn’t use my holy grail concealer which is the one and only Hard Candy ‘GlamofLauge’. This concealer is very full coverage and is best applied with a damp beauty blender! Which I love to apply all foundation and concealer with! To set every thing in place I use Physician Formula ‘Pressed Powder’.
Onto the eyes which is star of the show! First thing first is to prime those eyes, this will insure the shadows don’t crease and appear more vibrant! My favourite eye shadow primer has to be Urban Decay ‘Eye Shadow Primer Potion’, as it also helps even out the colour and veins on your eyelids. Now its time, to get the eyes looking glam! I used two eye shadow Duos which are both from L’Oreal. The first one I used is, L’Oreal ‘H.I.P High Intense Pigments, Bright Shadows in Showy 224’. I first took the deepest blue and focused that on the outer half of the eye lid and into the crease. I than applied the beautiful turquoise shade on the inner half of the eye lid. This took some time to blend into the deep blue to create a blended ombre. The best thing to remember, when doing any eye look is to add a bit at a time, you can always go back! Also blend, blend, and blend.. it will become your best friend! Once I had the shadows all blended and to my liking I than added a warm brown to the crease and slightly above, this way it adds some warmth and dimension. I used the brown shade from the L’Oreal ‘H.I.P. Duo in Dashing 917’. We can’t forget to highlight!! To highlight both the inner corner and brow bone, I used Maybelline eye shadow in ‘180 Silken Taupe’.
I than used Maybelline ‘Master Drama Eye Liners’, in ‘Sapphire Strength’ which is a bright blue to put on my water line,that I than smoked out! To finish off the eyes, I used L’Oreal Mascara as well as Ardell Demi Wispies.
To finish off the face I used two bronzers and blushes! To contour I used the matte bronzer from SHESIDUO, in Medium 2, this bronzer is great as a contour since its not to warm with the undertones on fair skin. I love this bronzer to contour and bronze up the skin, as in the cheek bones, temple, forehead, jaw line and nose. I than warmed my skin tone up with the Maybelline Fit Me ‘Deep Bronze’. Next for blush I actually mixed two the first one is NYX Powder Blush in’ 25 Pinched’, which is a very pigmented rose blush well the Revlon Powder Blush in ‘080 Sandalwood Beige’ is a nude.To set everything in place I used the Avene Spring Water! This is also great to refresh your face on those hot days or even on a sun burn.
As for the lips, I used Maybelline Super Stay 14 hr LipStick in ‘045 Lasting Chestnut’ and toped it off with the SmashBox Lip Enhancing Gloss in ‘Copper Remix’.
