90s Inspired Makeup Look

Who else misses the 90s?! Or at least some of the 90’s trends or even music! I have to say I do love throwing in back and listening to some 90’s music and inspired fashion trends and lets not forget makeup trends!

Well first things first is to prime the skin! I love the results that you get when priming your skin, as it gives the foundation a base to hold onto, well evening out your skin tone and filling in any pores. This way priming gives your foundation an even base. The primer I’m using is a new one of mine, which is the Maybelline ‘Master Prime Primer’, this primer blurs and cancels out redness. Next thing is Foundation! This foundation is definitely a must have, as the finish it gives your skin is absolutely amazing. It is medium to full coverage and is very build able and blends out effortlessly. It will cover any redness and imperfections, however I will say you definitely need to make sure to moisturize and prime before, as this foundation dry to a powder finish.  Again there’s no change here with the concealer, this is my favourite and go to holy grail concealer, its the one and only Hard Candy ‘GlamofLauge’. I than used a little bit of Maybelline ‘Dream Matte Powder’, to gently set the foundation and concealer in place. To get that healthy dewy finish to the skin, I used NYX Dewy Finish setting spray, even though the 90’s had matte skin, I wanted to add a bit of hydration back into my skin as I find setting the foundation with a powder can sometimes be a little to matte for my liking!

The 90s always had a bronzed glow so I used the NYX ‘Highlight and Contour Pro Palette’ to achieve that. This palette is great, as it has various different shades, for multiple different skin tones. Are used the ‘Banana’ shade to set the concealer under my eyes, as well as to brighten up the under eyes! I than used the first bronzing shade, to bronze of my face. This shade is perfect, as its not to warm for all my fair skin toned lovelies, as it doesn’t look muddy. Since everyone always had a bronzed look rather that a chiselled cheekbones look, that is now taking over, we aren’t going to contour this time!  As for blush its all about have a nude bronzed look so I went with a mauve blush by Maybelline Fit Me in ‘Deep Mauve’, which is exactly what its called! As well as being perfect for this 90’s inspired makeup look!

To start the eye makeup out, lets prime the eye lids using my favourite eyeshadow primer which is the one and only Urban Decay’ Eyeshadow Primer Potion’, this primer will insure your shadows last all day and don’t crease! As for the eyeshadows I kept it quite simple with using the Maybelline ‘The Nudes Palette’. This palette has varies matte, satin and shimmery shadows to create many different eye looks with! I first used the fifth shade which is a taupe colour for all over the lids and up to the crease. For the crease I used the shade beside it which is a deep brown and focused that in the crease and blended it out! Than followed up with the highlight shade to highlight the brow bone.. and thats it for the shadows! Which is very simple and a easy eye look anyone can rock! To make this look a little bolder I used the same shades and blended it on the lower lash line!

As for liner, I used GOSH eye liner in ‘Black’ to line the top lash line and make the lashes appear fuller! For lashes I wanted to get full lashes like what you would with false lashes, expect without the struggle some false lashes give! So the mascara I used is the one and only Younique 3D Fibre Lash, this mascara will give you all the length and volume! Its my go to, especially when I want glam lashes!

As for brows I used two of my favourite brow products which are the NYX ‘Micro Brow Pencil in Chocolate’, this brow pencil will give you defined brows that will be one point. To set them in place I used my one and only Maybelline ‘Brow Drama’! This product is also one of my holy grails!

Dark lips were everything in the late 90s and I have to say I absolutely love it and loved that it came back into trend! Now for the lips! Dark lips are one of my favourite and this lipstick is one of my favourites as well! Its the Maybelline Super Stay  14hr Lipstick in ’45 Lasting Chestnut’. This is definitely one of my go to lipsticks as its a deep nude!
