L’Oreal Colour Riche Caresse Wet Shine Stain-Review

Lets talk about a older lip product, that is still killing it! These lippies are easy to throw on and go!

Using the L’Oreal Shine Caresse lip stain for the first time, I was impressed by the highly pleasant application experience. The formula glided over my lips and because it’s 30% water, my lips instantly felt pleasantly cool during the application process. The feeling was so good, I wanted to keep reapplying the L’Oreal Shine Caresse over and over again. And that’s really a good thing, because initially, the L’Oreal Shine Caresse is sheer upon first application. Reapplication of a second or third time is recommended if you want to intensify the color.

Speaking of application, the applicator of the L’Oreal Shine Caresse wand is a unique doe-foot applicator with a hole through the centre. This ingenious design helps remove excess product as you pull the wand from the tube. A highly crucial design especially since the lip stain does tend to bleed a little outside the lips with too much product. A trick I find helpful is to dab concealer just outside the lip line to prevent bleeding.

Lets talk packaging…he gloss stain has a shiny gold packaging instead of the metallic packaging. That is because of my flash which wash away the gold hue of the packaging. Let me show you the picture of the actual packaging of the gloss stain I taken from L’Oreal Website. I love the packaging a lot, as it look very classic and expensive. The gold shiny bottle symbolize something expensive and the middle L’Oreal name plate add a nice touch to it. The window panel enable me to see the real colour inside the bottle.

The gloss stain gives the best of both world by combining lip stain and lip gloss luster that get your lip filled with shimmering flecks. It is formulated with light hydration oils and concentrated pigments that delivers lasting colour with glossy finish. Packed with 30% water, Colour Caresse Wet Shine Stain leaves lips soft, comfortable and hydrated for up to 6 hours.

However I have found that, although these aren’t necessarily drying; they cling onto dry patches on the lips like mad, even ones you didn’t know you had.

The Nude Brown is in ‘192 Everlasting Caramel’, the rose pink is in ‘184 Rose on and on’, the bright pink is in ‘189 Pink Rebellion’.

What I like about this lip stain is that it has a pigmented colour but not overboard, the colour still look natural. You get what I mean? Usually those lip stain colour can get a little too bold and not really suitable for everyday use. This gloss stain on the other hand being really moisturizing on the lip it give a very natural and light colour finishing!Even after eating the top glossy layer will be gone but the stain remain on the lip.

I have two in the light plum as its my favourite! Its in ‘191 Stubborn Plum’ and the deeper purple is in ‘186 Berry Persistent’!

I do love these lips stains and I know they have been out for quite a while, however since wearing a few shades the last few months. I decided to share my thoughts on them! Hope you lovelies enjoyed and how do you like them?!
